DIY Paper Puppets – The Easy Way to Engage Your Child

My Children are in fact in their happiest moods off late. Both of them are my main review team and there are product after product sent home to be reviewed.

Of course I have a restriction there, I do not accept

• products that may harm the environment
• product that is not made of natural product
• product that is not organic
• product that are be too highly priced

I got a message from Jumboo.in asking how would you feel if kids are engaged in the most fun activity and that too creating something that you would be able to keep and show to their friends and actually play with them.

The next line impressed me quite – they said the children will actually use their imagination and create things that will work on the improvement of their motor skills.

Of course I was intrigued, I had some time earlier done a review of a similar pr0duct and hence felt it is something of the same concept. I told them they could send the article to me for my second son who is 6 years old.

This is the kit that arrived, the first thing I looked into was the contents, whether they were kids friendly or not, because I was planning actually to let my child use it.

As promised the contents contained paper craft(thick paper, of course)  of different sizes, colours and a description booklet.

Fun Of Creating

We started with making a Giraffe, and believe me Yishaanth did not get up from his place till he completed.

It was a Hand Puppet kit, of Wild Animals a set of 4 wild animals packed in one box where the kid makes a tiger, a crocodile, a zebra and a giraffe. This wild animals were designed with their actual characteristics and the kids can easily follow the step guide and create the puppets by themselves.

How Long It Actually Took

To make a single puppet your kid will need at least half an hour! Though the guide recommended that the parent apply glue, I let Yishu have all the fun.

Following the step by step guide he was able to complete the Giraffe complete till the eyes and named him BAMBO

These are set of 4 hand puppets which the kids will make by themselves and then create a story board around the characters. Yishu and Raksh are ready to call their friends next week for a puppet show.

They have built up a story around the characters, and ready with a jungle all set.

So I decided I will not have all the fun, lets share the fun moms, and so with Jumboo.in we have decided to come up with giveaways.
